Texas Half Court Offense vs. Man Defense This "wheel" type offense if sometimes used as a set play, but Texas likes to run this for an extended period of time in one possession. It has proven to be successful when you have more than one good perimeter shooter on the floor. #4 and #5 are used as constant double screens throughout the offense. It starts with #4 and #5 screening for #2. #1 hits #2 coming up to the top off the double screen. #3 moves down to the opposite low block area. |

Texas Half Court Offense vs. Man Defense Once #2 has the ball, he can take a few dribbles to center the ball while #4 and #5 move across to screen for #3 who breaks out to the right wing area looking for the open jumper. #1 now moves into the "wheel" rotation. #2 hits #3 with a pass on the right wing. |

Texas Half Court Offense vs. Man Defense This offense will continue double screening in the other direction from here if you would like. #1 can reverse the ball to #3 who can pass to #2. #1 cuts across after passing to #3 and starts the "wheel" rotation again in the other direction. #3 moves down into the next "wheel" rotation spot and the offense is continued. |

Texas Half Court Offense vs. Man Defense If at any time the person coming off the double screen is not open, he will curl back down and get in line for the next "wheel" rotation spot. In this diagram, #2 is not open so he curls down to the low block. #3 is already in the next rotation spot and will look to use the double screen from #4 and #5. |

Texas Half Court Offense vs. Man Defense #1 will center the ball on the dribble looking for #3 coming off the double screen from #4 and #5. #1 passes to #3. Again, if #3 was not open he would curl into the lane and allow #2 to use the next double screen. |

Texas Half Court Offense vs. Man Defense We will assume #3 was open, so he then will look for #2 coming off the double screen. Again, this is a great continuity offense that is helpful when trying to free up more than one good perimeter shooter. |
